Earlier this year we demonstrated video playback for the first time on Java mobile phones. Now, with colour Java phones such as the Nokia 7210 in the shops, we will make high quality video available to the mobile mass market. We are now testing our mobile codec, which has an exceptionally small footprint (up to ten times smaller than MPEG-04 players), installs over the air, streams over GPRS and delivers high quality, high frame rate video at full screen on mobile phones.
