Last week we took ourselves over to Las Vegas for the annual NAB Show. Being the largest trade show event in the broadcast sector, we needed to make a big impression. But with a cloud-based video editor like Forscene, that wasn’t too difficult, and we soon had people queuing up to get a look at the new interface.
At NAB we were showcasing our traditional long-form broadcast workflow, as well as our sports workflow; and we also had our partners from Field59 demonstrating their live stream services and how they ingest this content into Forscene for editing.
We had the incredible Bonnie Laufer with us in Las Vegas too, who, having recently joined the Forscene team as a Marketing Consultant, interviewed people about their experience of seeing Forscene at NAB and their views on our cloud-based editor.
On the day before the official opening of the exhibition, we hosted an exclusive reseller’s event in our booth in South Lower Hall. The aim was to bring them personally up to date with everything that Forscene has been up to and how we can leverage our relationships going forwards. Watch the video from the mini-event below.
“I’ve been waiting for this software for 3 or 4 years”
Next up was the first official day of the NAB Show – and it was a hugely successful day for us. We had many first time visitors who were astounded and amazed by the power of Forscene and how it could revolutionise their workflow.
The second day of the show was just as successful, and we had record numbers of visitors to the stand, surpassing last year’s event total. We also managed to engage with many of our partners, like FileCatalyst, Take1 Transcription and Sony.

By day three of NAB, the word about Forscene was spreading, and people were texting colleagues to come to our stand. Even though our cloud editor has been around for 10 years, it’s only in recent times that interest has amplified and we have an ever-growing user base across broadcast, sports and news industries.
The final video digest at the show saw Bonnie interview all of us on stand, about our thoughts and feedback on NAB 2015. It was a tremendously prosperous event for the Forscene brand, and the statistics speak for themselves:
- 3x as many visitors to the stand
- 4x as many pre-booked meetings
- 5x as many high value leads generated
- 10x as many on-stand product demos
- Deals done on stand at the show
