At today's AGM, Vic Steel, Chairman of Forbidden Technologies plc, made the following comments:
"I am pleased to report that commercial interest in our product portfolio has continued to grow in recent months.
I can announce NATS Post Production as the first reseller of FORscene in the broadcast production area. NATS is a long established facilities house with an impressive client list amongst independent production companies and broadcasters. NATS involvement with FORscene is a clear endorsement both of the functionality and the commercial attractiveness of the platform to this important industry.
For the second year, we are streaming live video of the proceedings of the AGM. From 11.00am today you can view this on our website at: http://www.forbidden.co.uk/agm2005/. This is made possible through the use of our leading edge product, FORlive.
At the AGM, we will demonstrate the FORscene platform, including the latest additions, which extend its functionality beyond web based video editing and publishing to include shot logging and the first phase of support for searchable video libraries.
Our strategy of using partners to deliver products and services to specific markets and geographies is yielding results. In the UK we have a licence agreement with MyGard, a web-based security company (www.mygard.com). In Italy, Mediaconcept (www.mediaconcept.it) has launched a mobile phone video portal based on our products. In the Nordic area, we are in the final stages of testing web video channels with a local broadcast partner.
In an increasingly wide geographic arena we are building meaningful commercial relationships. Over time, we are confident that these will build a significant and profitable business for our shareholders."
