Leading internation production company uses Forbidden Technologies tools across the world
Forbidden Technologies today announced that Endemol, one of the largest independent production companies in the world and makers of Big Brother, is using FORscene for the Living production Rehab.
FORscene’s logging and rough-cut editing tools provide access to rushes through a web-browser. This has enabled all members of the production team to work on and monitor the content during location shooting.
Endemol, while filming in LA, uploaded rushes shot on location into FORscene. Producers reviewed content as it was uploaded; loggers used FORscene to log material in the UK while uploading continued. Producers made shot selections and rough cut edits before exporting from FORscene to Avid for on-line editing. Drafts from Avid were uploaded and then reviewed and approved across the UK and US for sign-off in FORscene.
Susan King, Production Executive said:
“FORscene has been an eye opener. With filming in LA, our UK based producer saved many hours of travelling by providing editorial input via FORscene throughout the actual filming period.”
Endemol UK is part of Endemol – a global leader in entertainment that comprises an international network of companies that spans over 20 countries in five continents. Endemol UK annually produces over 5,000 hours of output. It incorporates a number of production brands including Brighter Pictures, Cheetah Television, Initial, New State and Zeppotron.
Stephen Streater, CEO of Forbidden Technologies, said:
“FORscene’s consistent high level of service is again proving attractive to key players in the broadcast post production industry. The broadcast post production industry is coming to realise how they can save both time and money with FORscene’s web-based workflow.”
Rehab is an Initial production (part of Endemol UK) for Living (part of Virgin Media Television). Transmission begins 11th January 2009.
