Exhibition Industry Sees Future In Video Streaming
Agreement between Forbidden Technologies plc and the Association of Exhibition Organisers Ltd promotes new video streaming services to the exhibition and events industry
London, May 03, 2004: Video streaming specialist, Forbidden Technologies plc, today announces a deal with the Association of Exhibition Organisers (aeo) that allows the trade association to communicate its proposition and services directly to its membership, using high quality video, irrespective of the connection speed on viewers' PCs. This promises to encourage the rapid adoption of video streaming technology in the events and exhibitions sector.
Using Forbiddens video streaming compression tools, the aeo is broadcasting highly visible, compelling content promotions for training videos and video mail campaigns – directly from its website to the desktop PCs of its membership. To ensure the highest possible audience, Forbidden ensures aeo members can access and view live video streams over any connection speed, from a 56K dial-up home connection up to a broadband corporate network.
Video is becoming a hugely important medium for the exhibition and events industry, by providing the ability to effectively target show audiences with highly visual messages. Using Forbiddens technology, the aeo is encouraging the mass adoption of video streaming throughout the industry by employing the medium to promote its own services.
Forbidden Technologies plc develops and markets proprietary technology for video distribution over the fixed line and mobile Internet. Its live streaming product, FORlive, complements existing tools that enable the effective promotion, marketing and execution of consumer and corporate events and exhibitions.
Liz Mackenzie, Sales Manager, Forbidden Technologies plc:
"There is no better way to promote the benefits of face-to-face contact at live events than by using video online. It brings events to life, and gives those participating and attending a feel for what is on offer. Were delighted to work with aeo and are committed to promoting the benefits of video streaming and presentations to the exhibition industry."
