Forbidden Technologies today announces that FORscene, one of the worlds most advanced browser-based video editing applications operating in The Cloud, now supports SDI video input in both Standard Definition (SD) and High Definition (HD) resolutions.
SDI is the industry standard video carrier format – used for transmission of uncompressed digital video (with audio and time code) within broadcast production.
The SDI video input meets both Phase Alternating Line (PAL) and National Television System Committee (NTSC) standards.
SDI support allows FORscene to ingest source material from any professional video source in real time, opening up the web to the world of high quality formats.
Forbidden Technologies plc will be exhibiting at IBC2009 on stand 7.A08.
Stephen Streater, CEO of Forbidden Technologies, said:
"We remain committed to advancing Forbiddens leading web based post-production platform FORscene, which is becoming increasingly relevant across the broadcast industry. Support for SDI video meets a growing need as FORscene is used in ever more sophisticated ways.
