Leading UK Indie uses Forbidden Technologies tools on more productions
Forbidden Technologies today announced that North One Television, one of the top UK Indies, has adopted FORscene for the production of its NHS series for Channel 4.
FORscene's real time split digitising and upload of content has allowed for a proxy quality version of rushes to be made available wide-area in FORscene while the full quality rushes are kept locally in Avid storage. This has enabled all members of the production team to work on the content regardless of location or time of day.
The latest export option from FORscene allows AAF auto-conform to Avid. North One has used FORscene Load to digitise their rushes to FORscene and Avid. Content is logged remotely, while producers and directors make shot selections all on FORscene. AAFs can be exported from FORscene and then auto-conformed with on-line Avids, allowing the production team to take into the Avid suites content that has been viewed and required. This saves time and money on hiring edit suites due to efficient organisation of material during post-production as well as an effective use of budget.
Mark Bunkle, Production Manager said:
"FORscene has been used by North One Television on several productions. It has enabled us to manage a large volume of rushes in an efficient and cost effective manner and all but eliminated the need for transfers to DVD. All in all it has been a great success."
North One Television, part of the All3Media group, is one of Britain's leading independent television production companies, boasting a global client base and a production slate that includes major sports, entertainment and factual programmes.
Stephen Streater, CEO of Forbidden Technologies, said:
"FORscene's repeated use throughout productions is demonstrating the markets change to new technology. New workflows have allowed FORscene to fit seamlessly and effortlessly into current productions and save them time and money in the process."
