Fibre link

A new fibre optic link connects Forbidden’s head office to Telehouse. Forbidden’s internal rack now has fast unmetered connection to the FORscene Cloud servers on the Internet backbone.

Fonts

The first professional client of FORscene has sent their house-style font family to Forbidden. This is now available for titling in their FORscene account.

Android release 1.63 is now available on Google Play. This includes improvements to titles, and long press on the timeline to edit a single track.

Cloud

FORscene normally runs on Forbidden’s UK-based Cloud Servers, but it can also use third party Cloud infrastructure. Amazon EC2 and the more interesting Elastic Hosts are the current favourites.

Media in FORscene is discarded when no longer needed. Last week, three months after the Christmas rush, 5,000,000 media items were deleted.
