The latest upgrade to the Blackbird platform features updates to configuration pages, copy of keyboard expansions and updates to the Blackbird Edge operating system. This is due to be released on 10th December 2024.
This update will be made available during a maintenance window of 11:00-16:00 GMT (6:00-11:00 EST) on the day.
Blackbird Edge Operating System Updates
Blackbird Edge is now only available for Debian 11 from this release onwards.
Copy of Keyboard expansions
Customers using the logging features of Blackbird will appreciate that administrative users can now copy ‘expansion’ sets (i.e. shortcut or shorthand entry) for terms between accounts in a given customer site for ease of migrating between productions.
Updated publishing configuration pages
Administrative users will notice some subtle changes to the styling of the publishing configurations within Blackbird. This is functionally the same however includes updates to some underlying software for improved onward compliance and security.
Blackbird Edge Operating System Updates
Blackbird Edge is built upon the widely adopted Debian Linux. For ongoing updates we will be moving to Debian 11 (Bullseye). Please expect support to be in contact with your administration and technical teams to coordinate these upgrades.
