Blackbird UX/UI improvements
This latest release includes some feature updates that are provided to enhance the ingest tools and add media organisation / metadata changes for ingested media.
The next release in June is also due to include some updates to the core technologies including support for LUT (lookup table) video effect. This is of value for managing both input LUTs for specific colour profiles (e.g. camera LUTs for log colour spaces or colour space conversion) as well as look/style LUTs for visual appeal.
The latest upgrade to the Blackbird platform is due to be released on 14th May 2024. This update will be made available during a maintenance window of 11:00-16:00 BST (6:00-11:00 EST) on the day.
Blackbird Ingest
Support for editing clip names and metadata in the scheduled ingest queue
Existing scheduled items can now be fully editable including any clip names, folders and times/durations.
Support for time zone data in automated folder expressions
Blackbird has a number of rules based organisation rules available to create folder hierarchies in the editor automatically. This has been enhanced to allow for time zone offsets to be handled to ensure that media in specific time zones can be organised accurately with time and date of creation.
